A party that opens Camerino's summer

When the good season arrives, the appointment in Camerino is at the Rocca Borgesca. PartyRocc is the series of summer parties that the Municipality of Camerino organizes together with the local Pro Loco (tourist board) in the gardens of the 16th-century fortress that dominates the historic center. Born in 2024, the event has established itself in just a few editions as the moment that officially inaugurates the rich summer calendar of the university city, in the heart of the Marche hinterland, in the Province of Macerata.

Music, DJ sets, and fun for all ages

PartyRocc's formula is simple and successful: free entry, live music, DJ sets, entertainment, and lots of fun from late afternoon until the early hours. The evenings feature alternating bands, tribute shows, and entertainment personalities capable of attracting a vast audience, made up of children, teenagers, and adults. The very first edition, in 2024, brought the Zoo di 105, the historic radio show, to the gardens of the Rocca, attracting hundreds of people and giving the city an evening of great appeal.

The charm of PartyRocc also stems from its location. The Rocca Borgesca is the fortress commissioned by Pope Borgia at the end of the 15th century to control the city of Camerino, already the capital of the Da Varano lordship. Its vast panoramic gardens, overlooking the hilly landscape of the Sibillini Mountains, are transformed for the occasion into a large open-air space dedicated to celebration, where history meets contemporary music.

An event for the city's rebirth

PartyRocc represents much more than just a dance night. For Camerino, a city deeply marked by the 2016 earthquake, events like this are a sign of vitality and a new beginning: a community that returns to fill its spaces, increasingly alive and youth-oriented, as administrators have repeatedly emphasized. The 2025 edition recorded over 6,000 total attendees over three evenings, confirming the event's growing success.

Attending PartyRocc is also an opportunity to discover Camerino, an elegant ducal city in the Marche hinterland, home to one of the oldest universities in Italy. Among Renaissance palaces, churches, and narrow streets of the historic center, the Borgesca fortress offers one of the most beautiful panoramic viewpoints over the valley, even more evocative on warm summer evenings animated by the party.
