Pancià en fior: celebrating spring in Panchià

Pancià en fior is the spring festival of Panchià, a small village of about 740 residents nestled in Val di Fiemme, between Tesero and Ziano di Fiemme, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige region). The name, in the local dialect, simply means "Panchià in bloom" and perfectly captures the spirit of the event: a day dedicated to the awakening of nature, flowers, gardening, and village life at the foot of the Fiemme Dolomites, dominated by the Cornòn massif and Mount Agnello.

The heart of the festival is the spring market set up in the Panchià playground, where hobbyists and artisans offer flowers, plants, and supplies for vegetable gardens and home gardens. It is the perfect opportunity for those looking to prepare their balconies and gardens for the warmer season while strolling through the stalls in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere. Street food is also available, with sandwiches and refreshments designed for those spending the whole day outdoors.

The Tree Festival and family activities

The event is intertwined with the traditional Tree Festival, an educational moment dedicated especially to children and the value of the forest—a theme deeply felt in a valley where the economy is historically linked to wood and artisanal craftsmanship. Various activities for everyone revolve around this event:

• Aromatic herb workshop for adults, featuring the preparation of herbal salt guided by an herbalist;
• Guided tours of the hydroelectric power plant in Panchià, starting from the Church square;
• Demonstration of scale-model earthmoving machinery in action;
• Magic show in the theater, dedicated to children.

A community festival in Val di Fiemme

Organized by the Panchià Local Events Committee in collaboration with the Municipality of Panchià, Pancià en fior is a free-entry community festival, reaching its fourth edition in 2025. It represents a simple and authentic way to experience the village and the valley, far from major tourist events, and is part of the rich calendar of events that animate Val di Fiemme throughout the year.
