An international half marathon in Palermo

The Palermo International Half Marathon & 10K is one of the most anticipated events in the Sicilian running calendar, held every autumn in the city of Palermo, the capital of the Sicilian Region. Now in its thirteenth year, the event is organized by ASD Running Sicily and offers a 21.097 km half marathon, a competitive 10 km race, a 5 km run, and non-competitive 10 km and 5 km Walkathons. Both the half marathon and 10 km courses are internationally certified.

The route: from the sea of Mondello to the Art Nouveau heart of the city

The race starts in Mondello, along Viale Regina Elena, right in front of the historic Antico Stabilimento Balneare. The route showcases the city and its coastline, passing through the Parco della Favorita and the city's stunning Art Nouveau district—a scenic path that alternates between seaside stretches, tree-lined avenues, and glimpses of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The half marathon touches on the city's most iconic landmarks, offering athletes a true journey through the beauty of Palermo.

A European-scale event

Over the years, the event has gained an increasingly international profile, with thousands of runners participating from dozens of different countries. The 2026 edition marks the final stage of the first Running Europe Tour, an international circuit connecting some of the continent's premier road races, from Malta to Athens, Cassino to Warsaw, culminating in Palermo.

Race pack and services

Every participant receives a generous race pack including a bib and timing chip, a technical jersey, a custom bag, and a medal for all finishers within the time limit. Three refreshment stations and three sponge stations are set up along the course, while at the finish line, athletes have access to medical assistance, pre- and post-race massages, a bag drop service, and a final refreshment area.
