Prevention, sport, and wellness in Tor di Quinto
Padel e Salute is one of the most unique events in the Roman summer: a gathering where healthcare prevention and sport intertwine in a single, accessible event for everyone. The proven format transforms the Sapienza Sport facility in Tor di Quinto, in the northern part of Rome, into a true Health Village for an entire weekend, where anyone can receive free medical consultations and check-ups just steps away from the padel courts.
The heart of the initiative is a space spanning over 400 square meters, equipped with stands, gazebos, and reception points, where medical and healthcare staff from the Umberto I and Sant'Andrea university hospitals provide free visits and consultations. Dozens of clinical specialties are involved—from breast health to cardiology, pediatrics to general surgery, and even psychological counseling—covering the entire scope of predictive medicine. Access is free and requires no booking: a concrete opportunity to practice prevention and bring public healthcare out of traditional settings, meeting citizens during their leisure time.
Alongside the healthcare aspect, Padel e Salute offers a rich sports program. In the weeks leading up to the event, men's and women's padel tournaments get underway, with the final stages and award ceremonies enlivening the concluding weekend. The offering is rounded out by sessions of yoga, pilates, and muscle awakening, designed to introduce the public to a healthy and active lifestyle.
The event also hosts conferences with CME credits for healthcare professionals, cultural spaces, and outreach moments dedicated to proper prevention for all age groups. Evenings are enriched with aperitifs featuring live music, DJ sets, comedy shows, and performances, creating a convivial atmosphere suitable for families and visitors of all ages.
Padel e Salute was born from the collaboration between Sapienza University of Rome, the Umberto I and Sant'Andrea University Hospitals, and the Capire per Prevenire Cultural Association. Reaching its seventh edition in 2026, the event has established itself as a fixed date on the Roman calendar, capable of uniting research, care, and community in one place. Located in the Tor di Quinto district, within the Municipality of Rome and the Lazio region, the Health Village represents a virtuous model of local healthcare.
