The Peia Oratory Festival

Every year, between late May and the first few days of June, the Peia Oratory becomes the beating heart of the town with the "Oratorio in Festa - Peia Insieme" event. Peia is a small municipality in Val Gandino, in the province of Bergamo, and this festival represents one of the most cherished moments in the local calendar, capable of drawing families, young people, and volunteers together for a program of sports, good food, and conviviality.

Tournaments, Games, and Dancing Nights

The common thread of the week is the volleyball and five-a-side football tournaments, which liven up the evenings leading up to the finals. Alongside sports, there are activities for the whole family: tombola, a kids' area, the "Tröa la galina" game, and dancing nights, from ballroom dancing to the closing DJ set. It's the classic formula for oratory festivals in the Bergamo area, where each evening has its own special event.

Flavors of Tradition

The kitchen is open every evening from 7 PM and offers a menu that changes daily: bread and strinù with fries, capù with polenta, wild boar with polenta, grilled meats, wild boar tagliatelle, and finally, a lunch featuring casoncelli. The offerings showcase the hearty cuisine of the Orobic valleys, alongside standard options like pizza, cotoletta, mixed fried items, and melted cheese.

"Peia Insieme" is much more than a food festival; it's how the community of Peia, in Val Gandino, comes together at the start of summer to share time, traditions, and commitment. An authentic event, organized by the oratory volunteers, which has been enlivening this corner of the Bergamo province for years.
