Media, information, and citizenship at the Sant'Agostino Cultural Center
ORA is the festival that Crema dedicates to the themes of media and information. Born to reflect on the relationship between information, contemporary languages, and citizenship, the festival takes place in the spaces of the Sant'Agostino Cultural Center and addresses the major social, political, and technological transformations of our time, focusing on the role of communication in democratic life.
The program alternates conferences, film screenings, book presentations, and round tables, with a particular focus on young people and their relationship with digital media. Among the topics addressed: the influence of digital media on information, relationships between young people and adults, democratic participation, investigative journalism, and gender equality.
ORA brings prominent figures from the Italian cultural and journalistic scene to Crema, capable of offering the public keys to understanding the present. The festival is aimed at a wide audience—citizens, students, enthusiasts—with rigorous but accessible language, in the spirit of a culture that educates critical thinking.
Promoted by the Municipality of Crema through the Department of Culture and Youth Policies and with the involvement of the Civic Museum's innovation center, ORA is a young but already established event in Crema's cultural calendar, in the province of Cremona, which makes informed information a community issue.
The 3rd edition of ORA brings six days dedicated to media and information to Crema, from May 5 to 10, 2026, at the Sant'Agostino Cultural Center. The 2026 theme, "The Republic Turns 80. Italy in Transformation", celebrates the 80th anniversary of the Republic and investigates the relationship between information, contemporary languages, and citizenship. The program alternates cinema, conferences, book presentations, and round tables, with a particular focus on young people.
