About Open Houses โ€” Spring

Open Houses in Brianza is the major exhibition that annually opens historic residences, villas, and sites of artistic heritage to the public. In the spring 2026 edition, from May 9th to 17th, Vimercate participates with guided tours of Villa Sottocasa and its historic garden, the MUST โ€“ Museum of the Territory, and Palazzo Trotti. This year's theme is "Stories That Remain".

The Brianza That Opens Its Residences

Open Houses in Brianza is the event promoted by the Province of Monza and Brianza which, in its 24th edition, opens villas, palaces, and sites of the territory's historical-artistic heritage to the public. The 2026 edition, titled "Stories That Remain", includes a total of 48 cultural sites in 35 municipalities across the provinces of Monza and Brianza, Metropolitan City of Milan, Lecco, and Como, divided into a spring and an autumn event.

Vimercate in Spring

For the spring weekend, Vimercate (Province of Monza and Brianza) showcases its jewels: the historic Garden of Villa Sottocasa, recently reopened to the public, the MUST โ€“ Museum of the Territory, and Palazzo Trotti, the municipal seat rich in frescoes and reception rooms. At the MUST, an exhibition dedicated to Mosรจ Bianchi and 19th-century painting is also on display.

A Heritage to Tell

Guided tours take visitors through the historic garden, museum, and noble architecture, revealing the thread of "stories that remain" within the city's fabric. The initiative, by reservation, is an opportunity to discover often inaccessible places up close and to read the history of Vimercate through its residences.
