Olio & Farro

The 2025 edition, the 17th, of Olio & Farro was held at Alviano Castle on October 25 and 26. Extra virgin olive oil and spelt were the king and queen of a rich food and wine trail set up within the fortress walls, open both days from 12 noon, with the trail closing at 10 PM.

The programme included guided tours of the Renaissance castle and church, the historical culinary presentation 'Il Cuoco galante' on Saturday, the cooking show by chef Stefano Forti on Sunday, entertainment for children, the covered market in the courtyard, and exhibitions dedicated to mushrooms and Fra' Luciano Canonici. Among the new features was the 'Colori d'autunno' photographic trek, while 'Emozioni Verticali' offered the abseiling descent from the castle with guided oil tastings. The event was organised by the Municipality of Alviano and the Pro Loco with regional support.
