Valdidentro's summer turns purple

Born in 2015, Notte Viola has become in just a few years one of the most anticipated summer events in Alta Valtellina. Every year, one evening in August, the heart of Isolaccia — the main hamlet of Valdidentro, in the province of Sondrio — transforms into a large open-air event, between Piazza IV Novembre and the town centre streets.

A widespread event for all tastes

From the early evening hours, dozens of attractions invade the town: street artists and acrobatic acts, entertainment shows, live music, open-air disco, and DJ sets. For the little ones, there are inflatable games and dedicated activities, while adults can get lost among the stalls, tastings of typical products, and delicacies of Valtellina tradition.

Tradition and fun

Alongside the most lively party, Notte Viola always reserves a space for local culture, with corners dedicated to the customs of the past and the memory of the community. It is this mix of contemporary fun and alpine roots that makes the event so special and attracts thousands of people from all over Alta Valtellina every year.

Organised by the Tourist Office and the Pro Loco of Valdidentro, Notte Viola is now a classic of the summer calendar: an evening where Valdidentro showcases its energy, its hospitality, and the pleasure of being together under the stars.
