The Carnival that Returns in Spring
The Night Carnival of Spring is the carnival reinterpretation that enlivens Ficarolo, a municipality in the province of Rovigo in Alto Polesine, known for its characteristic Leaning Bell Tower. The event revives a tradition that in the past had achieved great success, re-proposing it in an evening and spring version.
Floats and Masks at Night
The protagonists are the allegorical floats, the costumes, and the masked groups that parade through Piazza Marconi and the town's streets, enlivening the centre with music, colours, and cheerfulness. The evening parade, near the Leaning Bell Tower, creates a special and evocative atmosphere, different from the traditional daytime carnival.
A Competition Open to All
The event includes a competition for masks and groups open to all ages, with direct registration on the evening of the event. Admission is free. Organized by Pro Loco Ficarolo APS with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality, the Night Carnival of Spring is a moment of celebration that involves the entire community of Ficarolo and the Polesine area.

Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 9:00 PM, Ficarolo hosts the Night Carnival of Spring in Piazza Marconi and the town's streets. The traditional allegorical floats, costumes, and masked groups return to liven up the centre with music, colours, and fun near the Leaning Bell Tower. A competition for masks and groups is planned, open to all ages, with direct registration on the evening of the event. Free admission.

How to get there
Ficarolo is located in Alto Polesine, in the province of Rovigo, near the Emilia border. By car from the provincial roads from Rovigo or Ferrara. The parade enlivens Piazza Marconi and the town centre.

Free admission. Registration for the mask competition directly on the evening of the event.
