A festival in the rock, in the heart of Val d'Ossola
Nextones is one of the most original events on the international music scene, taking place in Crevoladossola, in the hamlet of Oira, in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, Piedmont. Its epicenter is Tones Teatro Natura, a former granite quarry converted into one of Europe's most significant settings for exploring space, nature, and contemporary sound practices: two stages carved into the stone host immersive performances specifically designed for the site.

Founded in 2013, Nextones is an international festival dedicated to research and experimentation in contemporary music, in dialogue with performing and audiovisual arts. Its identity is that of a nomadic festival: the program is not limited to the quarry but expands into several symbolic and unconventional locations in the valley, involving the public in an itinerant and deeply immersive journey.

How to get there
Tones Teatro Natura is located at Via Valle Formazza 37, in the hamlet of Oira di Crevoladossola (VB). By car, take the A26 motorway to Gravellona Toce, then the SS33 del Sempione expressway towards Domodossola. By train, the reference station is Domodossola, on the international Milan-Simplon-Brig line, just a few kilometers from the festival.

Tips
The festival is spread across multiple locations in the valley: we recommend arriving with comfortable shoes for the nature trails and packing layered clothing for the evenings at altitude. The Nextones Campsite offers the opportunity to stay on-site with a dedicated program.
