The international jazz festival between the Olympic Theatre and the city's venues
New Conversations – Vicenza Jazz is one of the historic Italian jazz festivals. Founded in 1996, the festival has brought the greatest international stars to Vicenza, building a recognizable identity based on the dialogue between music and the symbolic places of Palladio's city.
The festival is distinguished by its extraordinary locations: the Olympic Theatre, a masterpiece by Andrea Palladio and a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Teatro Comunale, the Abbey of Sant'Agostino, and other monumental spaces. Alongside the main concerts, a dense network of free events in venues, clubs, and squares in the historic center spreads the music throughout the city.
Organized by the Municipality of Vicenza, Vicenza Jazz involves the entire city, in the province of Vicenza, for ten days, transforming it into a reference point for enthusiasts from all over Italy. The artistic direction builds a program each year that alternates great masters and new voices, between tradition and research, confirming the festival as one of the most important musical events in the Veneto region.
The thirtieth edition of New Conversations – Vicenza Jazz (May 15-25, 2026) is a historic milestone, dedicated to the centenary of Miles Davis's birth with the title 'From the Trumpets of Jericho to the Divine Miles'. Concerts take place between the Olympic Theatre, the Teatro Comunale, the Abbey of Sant'Agostino, and the Cimitero Maggiore, with numerous free events in the city's venues.
Among other announced protagonists: Joshua Redman, Enrico Rava, Lakecia Benjamin. Numerous free concerts liven up the venues in the historic center for the entire duration of the festival.
Vicenza is on the Milan-Venice railway line; the festival venues are in the historic center, within walking distance of the station. By car, take the Vicenza Ovest and Est exits of the A4 motorway.
The main concerts at the Olympic Theatre and the Teatro Comunale are ticketed, with tickets and season tickets on sale. Numerous side concerts in the city's venues are free.
