About Vicenza Jazz

New Conversations – Vicenza Jazz is one of Italy's most beloved and long-standing jazz festivals. For ten days in May, major international jazz artists perform in unique settings such as the UNESCO World Heritage Olympic Theatre by Palladio, the Teatro Comunale, and the Abbey of Sant'Agostino, while free concerts liven up venues and squares in the historic center. A festival that blends artistic excellence and the city, capable of drawing the best of the global and contemporary jazz scene to Vicenza.

Thirty years of great jazz in Vicenza

New Conversations – Vicenza Jazz is one of the historic Italian jazz festivals. Founded in 1996, the festival has brought the greatest international stars to Vicenza, building a recognizable identity based on the dialogue between music and the symbolic places of Palladio's city.

Unique settings in the world

The festival is distinguished by its extraordinary locations: the Olympic Theatre, a masterpiece by Andrea Palladio and a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Teatro Comunale, the Abbey of Sant'Agostino, and other monumental spaces. Alongside the main concerts, a dense network of free events in venues, clubs, and squares in the historic center spreads the music throughout the city.

A city that lives on jazz

Organized by the Municipality of Vicenza, Vicenza Jazz involves the entire city, in the province of Vicenza, for ten days, transforming it into a reference point for enthusiasts from all over Italy. The artistic direction builds a program each year that alternates great masters and new voices, between tradition and research, confirming the festival as one of the most important musical events in the Veneto region.
