An evening band concert at the music pavilion in Percha, Puster Valley
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Musikkapelle Percha Evening Concert is one of the most anticipated musical events of the summer in Percha, a small municipality nestled at the entrance to the Puster Valley, in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano (South Tyrol). On a July evening, the local brass band gathers at the music pavilion (Musikpavillon) to offer locals and tourists an informal, open-air concert that serves as both a village festival and a moment of pride for the entire community.
The star of the evening is the Musikkapelle Percha, the brass band that has accompanied the town's civic and religious life for generations, from processions and patronal feasts to local celebrations. Joining the adults is the Jugendkapelle MUSKITOS, a youth ensemble bringing together young musicians from Percha and Reischach, a concrete sign of how the band tradition is passed down from generation to generation in South Tyrol.
In recent editions, the evening begins around 8:00 PM with the young MUSKITOS band, followed by the Musikkapelle Percha: a program designed to showcase budding talent before handing the stage over to the main band.
The program of a typical South Tyrolean evening concert alternates between genres and atmospheres to entertain audiences of all ages:
All this takes place in a relaxed, open-air setting that invites you to enjoy the music under the stars.
True to the tradition of South Tyrolean brass concerts, the evening is not just about music: throughout the event, freshly baked apple strudel and cold drinks are available, served by band members and volunteers. It is the perfect opportunity to catch up with neighbors, chat, and toast to the summer in true Puster Valley style.
Located just a few kilometers east of Brunico, Percha is an ideal destination for those visiting the Puster Valley: enjoy hikes toward Plan de Corones, bike rides along the Puster Valley cycle path, and stunning views of the Dolomites. The summer concert of the Musikkapelle is an authentic way to experience local culture, far from the crowds and immersed in the hospitality of a mountain village.
The 2026 edition of the Musikkapelle Percha Evening Concert is expected in July, following the tradition of previous years. The date and detailed program have not yet been published by the organizers. As is tradition, the evening is expected to take place at the music pavilion of Percha (Puster Valley, Autonomous Province of Bolzano), with free admission, performances by the band and the youth ensemble MUSKITOS, and apple strudel and drinks for the audience. We recommend checking for updated information on the official Musikkapelle Percha channels.
