An evening dedicated to choirs in Sesto Calende
MusiCalende is the choral concert that enlivens Sesto Calende, a municipality in the province of Varese overlooking Lake Maggiore, where the Ticino river flows out of the lake. The event is held at the Sala della Comunità del Censad and brings together various vocal groups on stage, giving space to the rich tradition of choral singing in the area.
The protagonists of the evening are the local choirs: from the parish choir to vocal ensembles, up to alpine choirs, each group presents its own repertoire in a musical journey that spans genres and traditions. The alternation of voices creates a varied and engaging evening, capable of highlighting the passionate work of many amateur groups in the Sesto area.
Organized by the Pro Sesto Calende Association in collaboration with Sonitus Edizioni, MusiCalende is a free-admission event, designed to introduce the public to choral music and to celebrate the sense of community that singing together can create. An evening that confirms the cultural vitality of Sesto Calende, a key town for the lower Verbano area.
