Note al Tramonto tra gli Ulivi is the event through which the city of Civitavecchia, in the province of Rome and the heart of Lazio, joins the European Music Day every year—a major celebration that brings thousands of squares across Europe to life on June 21st. The event takes place at Parco dell'Uliveto, the green space dedicated to the Martyrs of the Foibe in the Borgo Odescalchi district, characterized by ancient olive trees of significant historical and scenic value that serve as a natural backdrop for the concert.

The G. Puccini Band

The star of the evening is the G. Puccini Band, conducted by Maestro Francesco Davia. It is one of the city's most deeply rooted musical ensembles, with a long history and numerous accolades: in 1995, it was awarded the title of «Band of Municipal Interest» and is registered in the Regional Band Registry. For this occasion, the band offers a varied repertoire, specifically curated for the event, ranging from classical to contemporary, alternating traditional symphonies with medleys of popular hits that resonate with the audience.

Over the years, the «Note al Tramonto» series has highlighted various iconic locations in the area, always with the goal of bringing music into prestigious natural settings. This summer appointment is part of a broader calendar of events promoted by the Pro Loco to enliven the summer in Civitavecchia, blending culture, popular traditions, and local gastronomy.
