A classical music festival in the heart of the spa town
In the Liberty-style lounge of Salsomaggiore Terme, in the province of Parma, spring brings Musica alle Terme, the classical music review organized by the Accademia de I Musici di Parma. Founded to give visibility to young musicians trained by the Academy and to bring great chamber music back to the city's symbolic places, the event has now established itself as one of the most anticipated cultural events in the spa region of Emilia-Romagna.
The 2026 edition: "Music and Nature"
The 16th edition in 2026 runs from late March to late June around the theme "Music and Nature," a common thread that intertwines the classical repertoire with the suggestion of soundscapes. The program includes five concerts plus an opera preview: it opens with the traditional Easter Concert and concludes on June 27th with a performance of Gioachino Rossini's The Barber of Seville. Students and teachers from the Academy take turns on stage, in a dialogue between training and profession that is the project's hallmark.
Historic venues in Salsomaggiore
The concerts take place in some of the most charming spaces in the Municipality: the Sala delle Cariatidi of the Palazzo dei Congressi, chosen for great compositions like Mozart's, the Corte Civica Tommasini, and, for the final outdoor event, Piazza Libertà . The public rediscovers the Liberty elegance that made the spa town famous, accompanied by live music.
A showcase for young talents
The festival is closely linked to the Salso Summer Class & Festival, the international masterclass that the Academy organizes in Salsomaggiore: the opera preview in June serves as a bridge between the two events and stages a complete opera performed by the young singers and instrumentalists from the course. Music at the Baths — edition 2026
The 16th edition of Musica alle Terme, titled "Music and Nature," enlivens Salsomaggiore Terme from late March to late June 2026 with a program of five concerts and an opera preview, all with free admission. The review creates a dialogue between young talents from the Accademia de I Musici di Parma and established performers, in a repertoire ranging from famous pieces to lesser-performed works.
The venues renew the elegance of the spa town: the Sala delle Cariatidi of the Palazzo dei Congressi, the Corte Civica Tommasini, and Piazza Libertà for the final event.

Academy Concerts
The program continues with concerts by the Accademia de I Musici di Parma in the Sala delle Cariatidi of the Palazzo dei Congressi, a preferred space for great compositions, including the works of Mozart. How to get there
Salsomaggiore Terme can be reached by car from the A1 motorway, Fidenza-Salsomaggiore exit, then a few kilometers on a provincial road. By train, the reference station is Fidenza, on the Milan-Bologna line, connected to Salsomaggiore by bus.
