About Museums in Celebration
An Open Door to Venice's Museums for Mira Residents
"Museums in Celebration" is the initiative promoted by the Metropolitan City of Venice that allows residents of its 44 municipalities — including Mira, in the Riviera del Brenta — to access the Venetian Civic Museums for free on specific dates. A concrete opportunity to rediscover Venetian artistic heritage without cost, experiencing the museums as a local asset.

On the initiative's dedicated days, free admission applies to the venues of the Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia (MUVE):

- Correr Museum
- Ca' Pesaro (International Gallery of Modern Art)
- Ca' Rezzonico (Museum of the 18th Century Venice)
- Murano Glass Museum
- Natural History Museum
- Palazzo Mocenigo Museum
- Fortuny Museum
- Burano Lace Museum
- Carlo Goldoni's House
- Torcello Museum
How it Works
Free access is reserved for residents of the 44 municipalities of the Metropolitan City of Venice and Mogliano Veneto; no reservation is required. For Mira, the initiative is managed by the Municipal Culture Office, located at Piazza Nove Martiri 3.

For 2026, six days are planned, from January to June, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Museums in Celebration — edition 2026
In 2026, the initiative "Museums in Celebration" by the Metropolitan City of Venice opened the Venetian Civic Museum venues free of charge to residents — including those from Mira — on six days spread across the first half of the year.
On each day, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, it was possible to visit Palazzo Ducale, Museo Correr, Ca' Pesaro, Ca' Rezzonico, and the other MUVE venues without a ticket, by presenting proof of residency and without needing to book in advance.

How to Get to Venice from Mira
By train from Venezia Mestre or Dolo to Venezia Santa Lucia; by car with parking at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma, then by vaporetto towards the museum venues.
