About Dream Festival

The Murgia Dream Festival is the premier summer celebration in Minervino Murge, located in the heart of the Alta Murgia in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani. Created to celebrate the local area through an inclusive lens, it blends live music, dance, performances, local food and wine, and craftsmanship, all headlined by its most iconic sight: hot air balloon flights that paint the Apulian sky at sunset, offering breathtaking views over the Murgia landscape.

The Dream Festival: Minervino Murge's summer dream

The Murgia Dream Festival is one of the most anticipated summer events in Minervino Murge, a town in the Alta Murgia area of the Barletta-Andria-Trani province, in Apulia. In just a few years, it has become, as Mayor Lalla Mancini noted, "a highly awaited appointment": an event designed to showcase the local territory, culture, traditions, and identity in a modern and inclusive way.

A festival blending tradition and innovation

The core theme of the event is captured in its name: "the dream." This concept comes to life primarily through the evocative presence of hot air balloons, which take flight at sunset to color the sky over Minervino, allowing visitors to admire the Alta Murgia landscape from above. It is the festival's signature image, the one that has made the event truly recognizable and capable of attracting crowds from across the region.

What to expect

The Dream Festival is a multidisciplinary event that brings Minervino to life with:

  • Live music, concerts, and DJ sets for all ages;
  • Dance shows and artistic performances;
  • Hot air balloon flights to admire the territory from above;
  • Local food and wine featuring typical Murgia products;
  • Craft markets dedicated to local artisanal goods;
  • Folk traditions and a lively funfair for adults and children alike.

A community-driven event

The event stems from a collaboration between the Dream Festival group, the Pro Loco of Minervino Murge (led by president Michele Renna), the Municipality of Minervino Murge, and other local associations. The stated goal is to promote inclusivity and transform the festival into a tool for tourism and cultural promotion, helping to introduce Minervino and the Alta Murgia to an ever-growing audience.

Dream Festival — edition 2026

The 2026 edition of the Murgia Dream Festival is expected in Minervino Murge, following the summer tradition. At the moment, the official dates and program for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced by the organizers: this page will be updated as soon as the Pro Loco and the Municipality release the calendar and planned activities.

The Murgia Dream Festival is a recurring summer event in Minervino Murge, in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani. The official dates and program for the 2026 edition have not yet been communicated.
