Municipio XIII in Musica: Valle Aurelia becomes a stage

Municipio XIII in Musica is the festival that, from June 8 to 12, 2026, lights up the Aurelio district in the Valle Aurelia area with live music. For five consecutive afternoons, the space between the staircase behind the Aura Shopping Center and the Fornace Veschi fence, along Via di Valle Aurelia, turns into an open-air stage dedicated to local music school groups. An initiative that gives a voice to the young musicians of Rome's Municipio XIII and transforms a corner of daily life into a place for gathering and celebration.

A piece of RIM - Roma in Musica

The festival is part of RIM - Roma in Musica, the major cultural project promoted by Roma Capitale and entrusted to the artistic direction of singer-songwriter Daniele Silvestri. For one week, from June 7 to 13, 2026, free concerts, shows, and events reach all 15 districts of the city, from the historic center to the suburbs, involving music schools, bands, choirs, ensembles, cultural associations, and neighborhood realities alongside established artists. Municipio XIII in Musica is the chapter that the Aurelio area dedicates to this widespread program, focusing on local talent and community participation.

Five afternoons of concerts

The program spans five days, every afternoon from 5:00 PM until evening. Academies and music schools, school orchestras, and local bands take turns on stage, in a journey ranging from pop to rock, blues to singer-songwriter music, featuring youth ensembles and emerging groups. Announced performers include the Accademia Madville Man, the Riverside Music School, the Guido Planeta Music School, the Caput Mundi Accademia, the Orchestra of the Don Roberto Sardelli Comprehensive Institute, and the Big Music School, along with bands such as Shylock, The Dive, The Sadness, Killer Teens, and Boilermaker Blues.

Where it takes place

The heart of the festival is the open-air space on Via di Valle Aurelia, between the Aura Shopping Center and the Fornace Veschi, easily accessible by public transport. The Municipio XIII program is further enriched by other events spread across the area, such as the musical corner dedicated to local schools and musicians at Largo Federico Caffè and evening events in the square designed for all ages, featuring soundtracks for children, DJ sets, and live concerts.

All events are free and open to the public, in line with the spirit of RIM - Roma in Musica: bringing music to your doorstep, making it accessible to residents, families, and visitors.
