About BTTF Festival
A festival made by young people
BTTF - Human Made Festival is a distributed festival of contemporary performing arts that takes place in the Adriano district, in Municipality 2 of the City of Milan, in Lombardy. It is the public moment of the BTTF (Back to the Future!) project promoted by Ecate Cultura, an entity active in cultural and theatrical production in Milan.
The under-30 artistic direction
The distinctive element of the festival is its Under 30 Participatory Artistic Direction: about thirty young people who, after a selection and training process, build the program together. It is an experiment in cultural participation that puts young people at the center not as spectators but as creators of the programming.
Performances, workshops, and community
The festival offers live performances, interactive workshops, artistic installations, and convivial moments. The main hub is the Magnete space at via Adriano 107, within the Adriano Community Center, a place that intertwines care, culture, and sociality. The events then spread throughout the district, involving the local community.
A sustainable project
Supported by the PNRR and funded by the European Union, BTTF also promotes sustainable mobility, encouraging those who reach the festival by public transport. An event that brings new cultural life to a transforming district like Adriano.
BTTF Festival — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of BTTF - Human Made Festival takes place from June 11 to 14 in the Adriano district, Municipality 2 of Milan. The festival, organized by Ecate Cultura, centers around the Magnete space at via Adriano 107 and extends throughout the district.
The program, created by the Under 30 Participatory Artistic Direction, alternates live performances, interactive workshops, installations, and convivial moments, offering an experience that places young people at the heart of cultural creation.
