Christmas at Villa Mazzotti

In Chiari, in the province of Brescia, the prestigious halls of Villa Mazzotti Biancinelli become the setting for the Mostra dei Presepi (Nativity Scene Exhibition) every winter. A Christmas tradition that fills the Liberty-style residence with hundreds of nativity scenes, transforming it into an exhibition path dedicated to the Nativity and the art of nativity scene creation.

Nativity Scenes from Chiari and the World

The exhibition brings together works by local artists and enthusiasts, alongside a selection of nativity scenes from around the world. Variety is one of the exhibition's distinctive features:

• Very different styles, from traditional to contemporary
• Sizes ranging from miniatures to large displays
• Materials and colours of all kinds

There are also Christmas scenes designed for children, with Santa Claus, reindeer, and the Befana (Epiphany witch), making the visit suitable for the whole family.

A Growing Tradition

The exhibition is organized by the Associazione Amatori Presepe (Nativity Scene Lovers Association), with the patronage of the Municipality of Chiari and the participation of the Fondazione Biblioteca Morcelli - Pinacoteca Repossi. Between December and January, it becomes one of the most beloved Christmas offerings in the Bassa Bresciana, capable of uniting art, devotion, and festive atmosphere in the heart of the province of Brescia.
