The Patrons of Cologne

Saint Gervasius and Saint Protasius are the patron saints of Cologne, a municipality in the province of Brescia in the Franciacorta region overlooking Lake Iseo. Their feast day, celebrated around 19 June, is one of the most cherished events of the year: a community festival that for several days intertwines religious devotion with moments of music, games, and conviviality, involving the entire town.

Between the Sacred and Popular Festivities

The programme is extensive and varied. Alongside the religious celebrations in honour of the patrons, the festival offers initiatives designed for all ages: the silent party, markets, entertainment and circus shows for children, as well as the spectacular 'cena in bianco' (white dinner), where participants, dressed in white, gather at tables along the town's streets. A mix that appeals to younger generations and families, without forgetting the spiritual significance of the occasion.

The festival unfolds over several days, particularly animating the SS. Gervasio e Protasio district. It is promoted by the parish with the involvement of the town's associations, and represents the moment when Cologne comes together around its identity, between faith and tradition.
