Craft beer, street food, and music on the Naples waterfront

Mosto Fest is a major open-air celebration dedicated to craft beer, held at the Giardini del Molosiglio in Naples, the capital of the Campania region. The event stems from the experience of Mosto, a Neapolitan brand specializing in beer and spirits that has opened several venues across the city over the years, from Chiaia to Vomero, and from the historic center to Bagnoli. After a decade of sharing the craft beer culture within their own pubs, the group decided to take it outdoors to one of the most picturesque green spaces on the waterfront, turning a day of tastings into a true community celebration.
The Giardini del Molosiglio are located in the San Ferdinando district, between the Maschio Angioino castle and the tourist harbor, with an entrance on Via Ammiraglio Ferdinando Acton. It is a public park overlooking the docks, just a short walk from the promenade, Molo Beverello, and Piazza del Plebiscito: a location that makes the festival easily accessible on foot from anywhere in the center of Naples and offers one of the most beautiful views of the city at sunset. The event is held under the patronage of the I Municipality (Chiaia, Posillipo, San Ferdinando).
The heart of the event is the tap bar: the most recent edition featured around fifteen independent craft breweries from all over Italy, offering a total of over 65 beers on tap, accompanied by a selection of canned and bottled beers and a cocktail bar. This wide range allows visitors to move from a light pilsner to an IPA, or from a sour to a more structured stout in the same afternoon, with brewers on hand to share their recipes, raw materials, and styles.
Alongside the beer taps, you will find food stalls featuring Neapolitan brands and gourmet kitchens: the selection ranges from gourmet sandwiches to dumplings, cured meats to fresh fish, and high-quality burgers. The idea is to create a thoughtful pairing between plate and glass, far removed from a generic food fair: the quality of the culinary offering is an integral part of the project, not just a side dish to the beer.
The day is punctuated by DJ sets that accompany the public from the early afternoon until midnight, with a live concert in the evening. There is no shortage of educational moments—such as a live brewing session in front of visitors, talks with guests, and "digital detox" activities like a silent reading party—alongside a market area dedicated to local artists and artisans. Mosto Fest presents itself as a cultural and neighborhood event, rather than just a simple beer festival.
The format is the classic one used in Italian beer festivals: access to the gardens is free, and you purchase the official, reusable festival glass, which serves as your key to the tastings; drinks and food are then paid for using prepaid tokens. This system streamlines queues, reduces waste, and limits single-use plastic, in line with the event's open-air and sustainable ethos.
Campania is currently one of the most vibrant Italian regions for craft beer, with microbreweries scattered across the Vesuvius area, the province of Naples, Sannio, and Cilento, often focused on highlighting local ingredients. Mosto Fest brings this movement into the city center, offering a wide audience—not just enthusiasts—the chance to discover independent productions in an informal, family-friendly, and free setting, with the sea as a backdrop.
For 2026, there are no official dates yet for Mosto Fest at the Giardini del Molosiglio in Naples. The organizers have not published a calendar, a list of participating breweries, or a program for the day, and there are no press releases or posters regarding a new edition.
Those who wish to follow the event can monitor the social media channels of the Mosto breweries and the local Neapolitan press, which in previous years have announced the event a few weeks in advance. In the absence of confirmation, the information provided on this page refers to previous editions: the usual format involves a single day outdoors, free entry with a paid official glass, and consumption via tokens.
