A fashion event born from the neighborhood

The Monteverde Fashion Experience is a manifesto-runway show created by Derrick Jones Studio, a creative and upcycling space that has chosen the Monteverde district in Rome as its home and the beating heart of the project. The event takes place at the Casale dei Cedrati, within the park of Villa Doria Pamphilj, the largest historic villa in the capital, in the Municipality of Rome, Lazio. More than just a catwalk, the event presents itself as a cultural moment where the neighborhood's heritage meets innovation and neighbors become the protagonists.

Craftsmanship, inclusivity, and sustainability

The project revolves around three keywords that define its identity: craftsmanship, inclusivity, and sustainability. The show highlights emerging designers, local artists, and small creative businesses in the area, with a special focus on artisanal mastery, storytelling, and eco-conscious design. Instead of professional models, actresses, artists, ladies, and young residents of Monteverde take to the runway: a gesture that transforms fashion into a collective narrative and an experience rooted in the community.

The Derrick Jones Studio

Behind the initiative is founder Derrick Jones, with a long background in luxury retail, who created a studio dedicated to upcycling and the promotion of artisans. The space, located along Monteverde's so-called "Green Mile," functions as a multibrand platform that offers artists tools, mentoring, and visibility. A network of brands and creatives has grown around the studio, collaborating on the event and shaping a true local artistic district.

An immersive experience

The Monteverde Fashion Experience is not limited to the runway: the event intertwines fashion shows, immersive installations, live performances, music, and social moments with welcome drinks and cocktails. The stated goal is to restore visibility to a neighborhood that has often remained "in the shadows" and to establish it as a new Roman destination for those who love fashion, art, and every form of creativity. At the end of the show, a pop-up shop allows the public to discover and order the presented creations.

When and where

The event is held at the end of September in the park of Villa Doria Pamphilj, in a green and evocative setting just a short walk from the Janiculum Hill. The formula, with free access to the exhibition area but tickets required for the fashion show, combines the dimension of a cultural event with that of a community festival, in one of the most vibrant and creative areas of Rome.
