Almost a century of celebration dedicated to the queen of Val d'Alpone
The Montecchia di Crosara Cherry Festival is a historic event in the Veronese area: in 2026 it will reach its 92nd edition, a testament to the deep bond between the town and its cherry, the symbolic product of the Val d'Alpone in the province of Verona.
The heart of the festival is the Cherry Exhibition, a showcase of the best local produce that rewards the quality of the work of the region's cherry growers. Five days of celebration unfold around this event in Piazza Umberto I.
Among the most popular events is the Crosaranda, a non-competitive walk that winds through cherry trees in bloom and fruit, organized in conjunction with the local running scene. There are also food and wine stands with traditional dishes, evening live music, a funfair for the little ones, a market for hobbyists and producers, and fireworks.
Organized by the Pro Loco of Montecchia di Crosara, the Cherry Festival is the main gathering event for the town and attracts visitors from all over the Veronese and Vicenza regions, celebrating agricultural tradition and conviviality together.
The 92nd Cherry Festival 2026 enlivens Montecchia di Crosara from June 11 to 15 in Piazza Umberto I. Amidst musical evenings, gastronomy, the historic Cherry Exhibition, and the Crosaranda walk, the festival celebrates the symbolic product of the Val d'Alpone.
Montecchia di Crosara is located in the Val d'Alpone, northeast of Verona. The festival takes place in Piazza Umberto I, in the town center.
Free entry to the festival area. Food and wine stand purchases are paid. Registration required for the Crosaranda walk.
