The national final of the beauty and charm contest dedicated to mothers, on the stage of Bellaria-Igea Marina
Miss Mamma Italiana is the national beauty and charm contest entirely dedicated to mothers, conceived and organized by Te.Ma Spettacoli by Paolo Teti. Unlike classic beauty contests, rigid aesthetic standards don't matter here: spontaneity, self-irony, elegance, and the personal story of each contestant are the protagonists. The contest is open to all mothers divided into three categories: Miss Mamma Italiana (from 25 to 45 years old), Miss Mamma Italiana Gold (from 46 to 55 years old), and Miss Mamma Italiana Evergreen (over 56 years old).
After the many selections held throughout the year across Italy, the local winners reach the National Final, which takes place in Bellaria-Igea Marina, in the Province of Rimini, Emilia-Romagna. For several consecutive seasons, the town on the Romagna Riviera has hosted the pre-finals and the grand final, set up in the very central Piazza Don Minzoni, which transforms into an open-air stage.
The event is spread over several evenings: during the pre-finals, contestants from all over Italy compete for access to the final evening, while in the grand final the new Miss Mamma Italiana is crowned and a long series of associated titles and awards are given (Glamour, Sunny, Sporty, Elegance, Fashion, and many others).
The event is much more than a contest: it is a summer entertainment event that enlivens the center of Bellaria-Igea Marina, supported by the Municipality and the Verdeblu Foundation. The evenings, with free admission, alternate fashion shows, charm and talent tests, music, and entertainment moments, attracting residents and tourists on holiday on the riviera. It is a convivial occasion that celebrates the role of mothers with lightness and joy.
Now over thirty years old, Miss Mamma Italiana has become a classic of the Romagna summer. Participation is completely free for contestants, with no registration fees, and each edition brings dozens of mothers from every Region of Italy to Bellaria-Igea Marina, accompanied by families and local supporters who liven up the evenings.
