The evening crowning the Apulian beauty queen on her way to the Miss Italia national final
In the heart of summer, Sammichele di Bari—a small town in the Metropolitan City of Bari, Puglia—hosts one of the most anticipated events of its summer calendar: the Miss Italia regional final, the evening that crowns Miss Puglia and awards the other regional titles of the famous beauty pageant. The stage is set up in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, right in front of the iconic Clock Arch, which serves as a natural backdrop for a runway show followed by a massive crowd.
The final brings together the contestants who have successfully passed the many selections held throughout the summer in squares and venues across the region. On stage, they compete for the title of Miss Puglia and associated titles, which vary each year based on the pageant's sponsors and partnerships. The winner earns a spot in the Miss Italia national final, representing Puglia among the other regional beauty queens.
Between runway segments, the evening alternates between evening gown and swimsuit parades and entertainment moments: musical performances, dance, and the presence of special guests and celebrities from the world of television and entertainment, making the event a true spectacle for all ages.
The final is strongly supported by the municipal administration and is part of the rich Estate Sammichelina calendar, which has previously brought artists like Snap!, Baby K, Edoardo Vianello, and Michele Zarrillo to the town. The organization is entrusted to Carmen Martorana Eventi, the exclusive agency for Miss Italia in Puglia and Basilicata, which has chosen Sammichele di Bari as the venue for the regional final for several seasons.
For the town, it is a festive occasion and a tourist draw: the square fills up, the historic center's shops and cafes remain open, and the beauty of Apulian tradition blends with the timeless charm of a pageant that, since 1939, has told the story of Italy through the faces of its young protagonists.
The Miss Italia Puglia regional final will be held in Sammichele di Bari on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 8:30 PM, in the setting of Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The evening will crown Miss Puglia 2026, the contestant who will represent the region at the national final of the pageant.
The godmother and guest of honor for this edition will be the dancer Francesca Tocca, fresh from her success on television stages. The event, supported by the municipal administration and organized by Carmen Martorana Eventi, the exclusive licensee for Miss Italia in Puglia and Basilicata, confirms its status as one of the flagship events of the Sammichele summer.
The complete schedule for the evening, the names of the finalists, the host, and any additional guests will be announced by the organizers in the weeks leading up to the event on the official Miss Italia Puglia channels.
