A metal festival in the heart of Bassa reggiana

The Metal Machine Festival is now a certainty for heavy metal enthusiasts in Emilia-Romagna and beyond. Every summer, the Parco dei Salici in Reggiolo, a small municipality in the Province of Reggio Emilia bordering Mantua and Modena, transforms into a meeting point for the Italian metal tribes. A simple and winning formula: many bands on stage, free admission, and a true popular festival atmosphere, with plenty of beer and food in the shade of the park.

The fourth edition (2026)

On Saturday, June 27, 2026, the festival reaches its fourth edition. The lineup ranges from power metal to hard rock to more classic sounds, with Vision Divine closing the evening as headliners: the historic Italian prog-power band returns after finding Michele Luppi back on vocals. Before them, Strana Officina, a true piece of Italian metal history, Voodoo Highway with their hard rock, and Rejectdeath, who open the day strong with their recent debut album.

Music, beer, and solidarity

What makes the Metal Machine Festival special is not just the music. The event, organized by the Associazione Pro Loco Reggiolo, has a charitable soul: part of the proceeds are donated to charity, transforming a day of healthy fun into a concrete gesture for the local area. In the park, there are also food stalls and refreshment areas, perfect for accompanying the concerts with a cold beer.

A growing scene

Born in 2023, in just a few years the festival has become an anticipated event on the summer metal calendar. Past editions have brought prominent names from the national scene to Reggiolo, from Domine to Distruzione, confirming the Parco dei Salici as one of the most beloved locations by fans. The presence of covered areas allows the festival to go on even in case of rain, guaranteeing the show whatever the weather conditions.
