The Vasto Marina all-nighter

The Mermaid Pink Night is the most anticipated summer event in Vasto Marina, the seaside district of the town of Vasto, in the province of Chieti, in the heart of the Trabocchi Coast in Abruzzo. Originally conceived as a celebration dedicated to the sea and the summer season, it has established itself over the years as one of the most popular all-nighters on the entire Abruzzo Adriatic coast, drawing thousands of people for a single, long night of festivities from sunset until dawn.

An open-air stage

For one night, the entire marina glows pink and turns into a massive, sprawling stage. Along Viale Dalmazia and the seafront, seven main stages are set up, hosting live music, DJ sets, bands, and artists of all kinds to keep the crowd dancing until the early hours. It is not just a single concert, but a journey: those strolling along the marina encounter different sounds at every corner, from Latin rhythms to 90s and 2000s hits, and from acoustic sets to high-energy DJ performances.

The evening program

The festivities begin in the late afternoon with games and activities designed for children, creating a shared atmosphere that involves families. As the sun sets, it is time for traditional beach aperitifs and gatherings in the Vasto Marina Nature Reserve, while beach clubs offer music by the sea.

The sunrise concert

The most poetic and iconic moment of the event is the grand finale at dawn: in the evocative setting of Il Pontile (the pier), as the sun rises over the Adriatic, the closing concert takes place. In recent years, the violin trio The Bobson Project has accompanied the awakening of the marina, offering a moment of rare beauty to those who have stayed up all night.

A community celebration

The event is organized by the Consorzio Vivere Vasto Marina with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality of Vasto, alongside law enforcement, the Civil Protection, and the local Red Cross. Admission to all activities is free. For the occasion, dedicated shuttle buses connect the center of Vasto and neighboring towns to the marina, ensuring a safe night out. The Mermaid Pink Night is now a symbol of the Abruzzo summer and a source of pride for the entire Vasto community.
