The monthly market of local zero-km producers in Piazza Libertà
The Mercato Agricolo e Non Solo is the monthly market of local zero-km producers held in Piazza Libertà, in front of the Albino Town Hall, in the province of Bergamo. Created to promote short supply chains and conscious consumption, it brings the genuine flavours of Valle Seriana to the square.
The stalls offer zero-km agricultural products: seasonal fruit and vegetables, cheeses, honey, and other local specialities, directly from the producers. A way to shop while supporting small local producers and reducing the supply chain's environmental impact.
The "not just that" in the name is the most original part of the project: around the stalls, there are DIY workshops, a guided tour of the adjacent church of San Bartolomeo, a sustainable aperitif, and typical zero-km dinners. Organized by the association Mercato&Cittadinanza APS, the event is an example of how a market can become an occasion for culture, socialising, and active citizenship in the Municipality of Albino.
Throughout 2026, the market is held every second Saturday of the month in Piazza Libertà, Albino, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Alongside zero-km agricultural products, the program offers cultural and convivial initiatives.
