About Saperi e Sapori di Honio
Walking through knowledge and flavours
Saperi e Sapori di Honio is a gastronomic and cultural walk that winds its way between Vertova and Fiorano al Serio, two municipalities in Val Seriana, in the province of Bergamo. "Honio" refers to the ancient name of the territory: the route alternates walking sections with stops dedicated to culture, art, and local food and wine and artisanal excellences.
Territories in Light
The initiative is part of the Territori in Luce project, a series of events designed to enhance Val Seriana from a landscape, historical, cultural, and gastronomic perspective. The project is promoted by the Municipality of Gandino as the lead entity, with the collaboration of numerous municipalities in the valley, and is funded by the Lombardia Style 2026 call of the Lombardy Region.
A day to experience
The walk includes a start from the Centro Culturale Testori in Vertova and stops along the route to Fiorano al Serio, with theatrical readings, plein air painting workshops, tastings, and cultural visits. An opportunity to discover the valley at a slow pace, amidst art, tradition, and local products.
Saperi e Sapori di Honio — edition 2026
La prima edizione di Saperi e Sapori di Honio si svolge domenica 14 giugno 2026. La camminata parte dal Centro Culturale Testori di Vertova e prosegue verso Fiorano al Serio, alternando tratti di cammino a soste culturali, artistiche e gastronomiche.
L'evento rientra nel progetto Territori in Luce, promosso dal Comune di Gandino come capofila con i comuni della Val Seriana e finanziato dalla Regione Lombardia. La partecipazione richiede l'iscrizione.
Programme Saperi e Sapori di Honio 2026
Domenica 14 giugno 2026
- 8:45 — benvenuto e ritiro kit al Centro Culturale Testori (Vertova).
- 9:30 — partenza della camminata.
- 10:00 — sosta culturale in Piazza San Lorenzo con lettura teatrale "L'uomo che piantava gli alberi" di Francesca Beni.
- 12:00 — sosta artistico-esperienziale alla Cloca con laboratorio di pittura "Cartoline del territorio".
- 13:00 — sosta gastronomica al Parco di via Milano con pranzo all'aperto e degustazione di specialità locali.
