Autumn in Casale
Birra e Castagne is the autumn festival of the hamlet of Casale, in the Municipality of Albino (province of Bergamo), in the Valle Seriana. It takes place under the marquee set up at the hamlet's football field, sheltered from the elements, and is dedicated to the flavours of the cold season.
Flavours of the Season
The name tells you the stars: chestnuts, served in the afternoon, and beer, accompanied by a menu of traditional Bergamo and mountain cuisine. On the table, you'll find pizzoccheri, polenta and porchetta, bread and cotechino, cheese, salami, and chips; on the main days, also mixed grills and polenta taragna, by reservation.
