Music for the soul: a classical and chamber music series in the heart of Ragusa
Melodica - Music for the soul is one of the longest-running and most beloved concert seasons in south-eastern Sicily. Founded in 1995 and organized by the Melodica Association under the artistic direction of pianist Diana Nocchiero, the series brings a long schedule of classical and chamber music concerts to Ragusa, in the heart of the Ragusa Province and Sicily, every year throughout the winter season, from September to June.
The concerts take place in the Auditorium of the "Mimì Arezzo" Cultural Commercial Center, at Via Giacomo Matteotti 61, in the historic center of Ragusa. The intimate hall, with its carefully curated acoustics, offers direct contact between musicians and the audience, an ideal setting for the chamber music that lies at the heart of the series.
Melodica stands out for the variety of its program and its openness to international guests. Over the course of its seasons, the series has featured:
A distinctive feature of Melodica is the desire to make great music accessible to everyone: the full-season subscription is affordably priced, and individual concert tickets offer reduced rates for students and free admission for children. The series is supported by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Ragusa and the Sicilian regional offices for Tourism, Sport, and Entertainment.
With over thirty years of activity, Melodica has become a landmark for the cultural life of Ragusa and the entire Iblean territory, capable of building a loyal audience and offering young performers a prestigious stage alongside established artists. A series that, season after season, confirms its motto: music as nourishment for the soul.

Guests also included pianist Maurizio Mastrini with the "Capelli International Tour" on March 28. The season concluded on June 5, 2026, with the "Women in Music" concert performed by the Duo Boulanger.
