The Middle Ages Live Again at the Castle
The Medieval Day at Conegliano Castle is a regular fixture on the city's calendar: every May 1st, the gardens of the ancient castle overlooking Conegliano, in the province of Treviso, transform into a large historical re-enactment set.
Knights, Musicians, and Jesters
The program includes a historical market within the castle walls, knight duels, infantry movement demonstrations, drummers, pageants, and entertainment by musicians and jesters. Outside, there is a medieval or Renaissance encampment with artisan stalls, recreating the atmosphere of a period village.
A Day for the Whole Family
The event, organized by Ristorante Al Castello together with the Pro Loco of Conegliano, is free and designed for all ages. During the day, you can visit the Civic Museum housed in the castle for free, and a free shuttle service is available from Piazza Cima to the hill.

The Medieval Day at Conegliano Castle was held on Friday, May 1st, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, in the gardens of the ancient castle.
The program featured a historical market, knight duels, infantry demonstrations, drummers, pageants, and entertainment by musicians and jesters, with a period encampment and artisan stalls. For the occasion, a free visit to the Civic Museum was possible, and a free shuttle service was available from Piazza Cima to the hill. The event was free and suitable for all ages, organized by Ristorante Al Castello with the Pro Loco of Conegliano.

How to get there
Conegliano is served by a train station (Venice-Udine line) and the A27 motorway (Conegliano exit). The Castle is located on the hill overlooking the city; during the event, a free shuttle operates from Piazza Cima.
