About May Festival
A Half-Century Tradition
The May Festival is one of the longest-running events in Giussano, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza. Organized by the Laghetto Committee, it takes place in the area of the Church of San Francesco, in the Laghetto district, and also celebrates the Committee's anniversary each year, a true institution of neighborhood life.
A Week of Music
The program spans over a week, with a packed calendar of events. The heart of the festival are the musical evenings with tribute bands dedicated to the great names of Italian music, from the hits of the '80s to Vasco Rossi and Max Pezzali, as well as concerts by local musical groups. There's also a poetic touch, with the nocturnal astronomical walk that invites you to look at the sky away from the city lights.
Bar, Food, and Community
Every evening of entertainment is accompanied by a bar and food service, with the simple and genuine flavors of the Brianza festival, from 'salamelle' (sausages) to French fries. The event traditionally concludes with the drawing of the lottery and celebrations for the Committee's anniversary. More than just a festival, the May Festival is a gathering moment that has united the inhabitants of Giussano around their neighborhood for decades.

From May 16 to 24, 2026, the Laghetto Committee celebrates its 53rd May Festival in the area of the Church of San Francesco in Giussano. A week of music, entertainment, and conviviality, with bar and food service available from 6:00 PM on event days.
Among the performers are tribute bands dedicated to Italian music legends, a concert by the DAC Giussano Musica band, the astronomical walk under the stars, and the lottery drawing that concludes the festival.
