About Marzo Donna
A Review That Lasts All Year
Marzo Donna is the cultural review that Vimercate, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza, dedicates to women, their history, and their role in society. Born around the March 8th anniversary, the event has gradually expanded to become a journey that spans several months of the year, with the formula 'Marzo Donna all year round'.
Over Forty Events
The program includes over forty events, including exhibitions, theatrical performances, conferences, experiential workshops, guided tours, and initiatives for physical and mental well-being. These range from literary encounters and discussions with experts and scholars to activities dedicated to health, and exhibitions hosted at the MUST and other city spaces.
A Network of Associations
The review is organized by the Municipality of Vimercate in collaboration with numerous local associations, which animate the various events. Marzo Donna also includes a second cycle of initiatives in autumn, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Marzo Donna — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Marzo Donna in Vimercate runs from February 28 to June 2, 2026, with over forty events organized by the Municipality together with local associations. The review combines art, culture, well-being, and reflection on the female role, and ideally continues in autumn with a second cycle dedicated to combating violence against women.

Some Events
- 'Voices of Women' — a cycle of interreligious meetings promoted by the Circolo ACLI of Vimercate, featuring female figures from different religious communities
- Meeting with sociolinguist Vera Gheno, in the 'Drop by Drop' cycle, on the power of language and inclusivity
- Exhibition 'The 19th Century in Color' at the MUST
- Exhibition 'Free and Sovereign,' dedicated to the 21 women who contributed to the drafting of the Italian Constitution
- Free nutritional consultations, yoga and Pilates workshops, and seminars on nutrition and menopause at the Il Melograno Center

The events take place in various locations in Vimercate (Monza and Brianza), including the MUST and the city's cultural spaces. Vimercate is connected to Monza and Milan by metro-tram and bus; by car, it can be reached from the Milan East Ring Road.
