About Medieval Night

The Medieval Night of Vimercate is the re-enactment that at the end of September takes the historic centre of the municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza back in time. From late afternoon, the streets and squares come alive with flag-wavers, fire-eaters, stilt walkers, falconers, duels, and ancient music, with an initial procession, itinerant shows, themed stalls, food stands, and a grand final fire show.

A Dive into the Middle Ages

The Medieval Night of Vimercate is one of the most evocative events of autumn in the municipality of the province of Monza and Brianza. For one evening, the historic centre transforms into a medieval village: streets and squares fill with costumed artists, ancient music, themed markets, and atmospheres of yesteryear, in a free event suitable for all ages.

Itinerant Shows and Fire

The evening opens with a procession that winds through the streets of the centre, introducing all the artists, followed by itinerant shows lasting about half an hour each: flag-wavers, fire-eaters, stilt walkers, falconers, duels, and jugglers. There are also historical re-enactments, artisans at work, themed stalls, and food stands. The grand fire show concludes the night.

A Festival for Everyone

Also designed for children, with dedicated workshops and entertainment, the Medieval Night has become a regular fixture in Vimercate's calendar over the years, capable of enhancing the charm of the city's historic centre.
