The Martedì Letterari are the historic series of cultural meetings at the Casinò di Sanremo, in the province of Imperia, active since the post-war period. Each event features an author, a journalist, an intellectual or an artist, in a dialogue with the public that ranges from literature to current affairs, from history to art.
Great narrators under the stars
During the spring-summer season, the series takes on an outdoor format, with meetings held in the Casino's outdoor spaces: 'great narrators under the stars and with the scent of the sea', as the organisers like to describe them. An atmosphere that combines the charm of the location with the quality of the guests.
A cultural reference point
With decades of history behind it, the Martedì Letterari confirms the role of the Casinò di Sanremo as a cultural hub for the city, capable of attracting leading writers and thinkers and offering the public a rich and varied calendar. The series complements the city of music's summer event offerings.
Martedì Letterari — edition 2026
The spring-summer 2026 season of the series features 15 events from May to the end of August, with meetings held in the outdoor spaces of the Casinò di Sanremo for the summer evenings.
The programme brings together journalists, writers, and artists: among the announced guests are Mario Giordano, Gustavo Zagrebelsky, Serena Bortone, Marcello Veneziani, Maurizio De Giovanni, Andrea Vitali, and the artist Michelangelo Pistoletto.

The Sanremo Casino is located in Corso degli Inglesi, in the city centre, within walking distance of the train station. By car, take the Sanremo exit on the A10 motorway.
