MAGNO, Roman street food takes center stage at Parco Appio

MAGNO is the festival that celebrates Roman street food and brings the 2026 summer season to a close at Parco Appio, one of Rome's most vibrant green spaces. The event takes place on Saturday, September 26th and Sunday, September 27th, 2026, starting at 12:00 PM, at Via dell'Almone 105, in the heart of the Appio Latino district. For two days, the capital's street food becomes the absolute protagonist, showcased as a symbol of a deeply rooted popular tradition.

The flavors of Roman street food

The festival menu is a journey through the great classics of Roman street gastronomy—the kind of food you eat with your hands that tells the most authentic story of the city. Among the stalls, you can taste:

• Polpette al sugo (meatballs in sauce), one of the most beloved dishes of Roman popular cuisine;
• Coratella and picchiapò, traditional recipes using offal;
• Mozzarella in carrozza, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside;
• Teglia romana, the pizza by the slice that is a symbol of the capital's bakeries.

A selection designed to highlight the dishes that have made Rome's street food famous, in a convivial and accessible setting for everyone.

Parco Appio, a green oasis in the heart of Rome

MAGNO takes place at Parco Appio, an urban regeneration project conceived by Federico Feliziani that has transformed 12,000 square meters of greenery into a meeting place in the Appio Latino district, just a few steps from the Appia Antica Park and the Caffarella Valley. More than just a venue, Parco Appio feels like a communal courtyard: it houses dining areas, the L'Elementare pizzeria, Bar Bello, and a kids' area with activities for the little ones. It is pet-friendly and fully accessible. The event is part of the venue's rich summer calendar, which has hosted food and wine formats, musical evenings, and cultural events throughout the season.
