Art and magic in the village: two days of meetings on the culture of symbols in Montefiore Conca
Organized by the association APS Villaggio della Luna, Magicaluna is an event dedicated to the exploration of the great themes that have always accompanied the journey of man. For two days, the Teatro Comunale Malatesta in Montefiore Conca, in the Province of Rimini in Emilia-Romagna, becomes a space for meeting, study, and sharing dedicated to the culture of symbols, inner research, and traditions of wisdom.
The program alternates conferences and in-depth discussions with speakers from various Italian cultural backgrounds. Topics range from astrology to alchemy, from mythology to tarot, from herbalism to ufological phenomena, up to distance viewing practices and paths of inner knowledge. Each presentation offers a different perspective on symbols, traditions, and ancient and contemporary worldviews.
Over the years, the festival has hosted numerous scholars and communicators, including Marco Galli, Loris Falconi, Fabio Bortesi, Cristina Salemi, Marina Montesano, Coral Carte, Marco Carollo, Mattia Mazzeo, Gianluca Gallerani, and Massimo Izzo. The meetings take place throughout both days, generally from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, also leaving room for direct dialogue between speakers and the audience.
In addition to the conferences, Magicaluna offers moments of music and conviviality. The opening is entrusted to a concert, while in the evening there is a convivial gathering at the Locanda del Grillo, a valuable opportunity to meet speakers and participants in an informal and friendly atmosphere.
Magicaluna enhances the charm and historical heritage of Montefiore Conca, one of Romagna's most evocative villages, overlooked by the imposing Malatesta Fortress. The medieval setting of the village, its cobbled streets, and the panorama of the Rimini hills make the experience even more intense, combining cultural reflection with the beauty of the territory.
The 2026 edition was held on Saturday, June 6 and Sunday, June 7 at the Teatro Comunale Malatesta in Montefiore Conca. The conferences took place on both days from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with presentations dedicated to the culture of symbols, inner research, and traditions of wisdom.
Among the guest speakers: Marco Galli, Loris Falconi, Fabio Bortesi, Cristina Salemi, Marina Montesano, Coral Carte, Marco Carollo, Mattia Mazzeo, Gianluca Gallerani, and Massimo Izzo. On Saturday at 6:30 PM, the opening was entrusted to music with a concert by the jazz band 'Non Dire Gatto', followed in the evening by a convivial dinner at the Locanda del Grillo.

Montefiore Conca is located in the hills of the Rimini hinterland, about 25 km from Rimini. By car, it can be reached from the Cattolica-San Giovanni in Marignano exit of the A14 motorway, then continuing towards the hinterland. The nearest train stations are Rimini or Cattolica, from which you can continue by bus or car.
For information on times, detailed program, and participation methods, it is recommended to consult the official channels of the festival and APS Villaggio della Luna. The convivial dinner at the Locanda del Grillo usually requires booking.
Comfortable clothing is recommended for moving around the medieval village. A visit to the Malatesta Fortress is an ideal complement to the day.
