Three days of music, taste, sport, and art in the center of Lurate Caccivio
The Lurate Caccivio City Festival is the major event that enlivens the center of this municipality in the province of Como, on the outskirts of the provincial capital. For three days, the main squares and streets — Piazza Alpini, Piazza Mercato, and Via Leopardi — transform into a widespread stage of music, flavors, sport, and culture.
The event offers a range of activities designed for all ages and interests: musical performances and concerts, food stands with catering service, painting workshops, photographic exhibitions, a children's area, and sports tournaments, such as volleyball. It's a festival that focuses on participation and community building.
Among the most characteristic initiatives are the art competitions promoted by the Pro Loco: a photography contest and a free-theme painting contest, launched in the preceding months, with awards presented during the festival. A way to promote local talent and provide a space for the creativity of amateurs and enthusiasts.
Organized by the Pro Loco of Lurate Caccivio, the City Festival is the main event of the year for the community. In addition to this major event, the local calendar also includes "Lurate Caccivio in Festa," with concerts and markets. A vibrancy that confirms the strong associative spirit of the town, in the heart of the province of Como.
The 2026 edition of the Lurate Caccivio City Festival enlivens the town center from May 31 to June 2 with three days of music, taste, and solidarity. Between Piazza Alpini, Piazza Mercato, and Via Leopardi, there will be musical performances, food stands, painting workshops, photographic exhibitions, a children's area, volleyball tournaments, and other activities. In the spring, the Pro Loco launched a photography contest and a free-theme painting contest, with awards presented as part of the festival program.
The detailed hourly schedule will be published by the Pro Loco of Lurate Caccivio closer to the event.
