Luppolandia - Brewery Fest

A beer festival with a heart in San Cesario sul Panaro

Luppolandia - Brewery Fest is now an eagerly awaited event of the Modenese spring. It takes place in the charming Villa Boschetti park, along Corso Libertà in Piumazzo, a hamlet of the Municipality of San Cesario sul Panaro, in the province of Modena (Emilia-Romagna). It is organized by Luppolandia A.P.S., a social promotion association that has made craft beer and conviviality a tool for solidarity.

Craft beer takes center stage

The heart of the event is the craft breweries, selected primarily from the excellences of Emilia and Northern Italy. Among the brands that have animated the festival's taps are La Mata, Biren, Statale Nove, Birrificio Obici, Birrificio del Duca, White Dog, Dada, and Bastian Contrario, with a selection ranging from lagers to IPAs, from ales to more experimental beers. There are also gluten-free beers in bottles, designed for those with gluten intolerance.

Gastronomy and live music

Alongside the beer, the gastronomic offer celebrates Emilian tradition: gnocco fritto and tigelle from Arci Sant'Anna, specialties from Osteria del Luppolo, and American BBQ from Dagh dal Fom. Every evening, the stage comes alive with live concerts and DJ sets, transforming the park into a large open-air arena for dancing and toasting late into the night.

An event that does good

What sets Luppolandia apart from classic beer festivals is its charitable mission: all proceeds are donated to charity. Over the years, the association has supported concrete local causes, from purchasing a defibrillator for the community to donations for populations affected by the flood in Romagna. Drinking a beer at Luppolandia therefore means participating in a solidarity project.

The official glass

As is tradition at the best beer festivals, at Luppolandia, beers are exclusively enjoyed from the event's official glass: first-time attendees purchase it at the entrance, while regulars can bring their glass from previous years. A sustainable detail that reduces waste and becomes a small souvenir of the event.
