Blues evenings in the historic center of Cannero Riviera, on Lake Maggiore
Lunedì Blues is the summer music festival that, every Monday in July, enlivens the historic center of Cannero Riviera, a small village overlooking Lake Maggiore in the Province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola, in Piedmont. For four evenings, the historic Via Massimo D'Azeglio turns into a widespread stage: five live music stations distributed throughout the village alleys accompany residents and visitors on a sound walk with an unmistakable flavor—that of the blues.
The heart of the event is the concept of "Walking in the Blues": not a single concert, but a musical journey that invites the public to move from one station to another, sitting in the bars and restaurants of the historic center to enjoy an aperitif or dinner with live music as a soundtrack. The artistic direction is entrusted to Giorgio Fassi, who curates the selection of musicians and the organization of the various stages along the street each year.
On the same evenings, a market of hobbyists and artisans takes place on the Lungolago delle Magnolie, completing the experience: between one note and the next, it is possible to stroll along the lake, browse the stalls, and breathe in the relaxed atmosphere of one of the most evocative locations in the Verbano area. The natural setting of Lake Maggiore, with its waters and the famous Castelli di Cannero standing just offshore, makes every evening an opportunity to experience the village in its most vibrant form.
Admission is free, making Lunedì Blues a proposal suitable for families, couples, and groups of friends. The event is organized by Pro Cannero Riviera in collaboration with local merchants and has become a fixed appointment of the summer in Cannero, capable of attracting music lovers and tourists vacationing on Lake Maggiore.
The 2026 calendar confirms four appointments, all on Mondays: July 6, 13, 20, and 27. Each evening takes place from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM in the historic center of Cannero Riviera, along Via Massimo D'Azeglio.
This year, the formula remains the proven "Walking in the Blues": five live music stations distributed throughout the village and a hobbyist and artisan market on the Lungolago delle Magnolie. The artistic direction is by Giorgio Fassi and the organization is handled by Pro Cannero Riviera. Admission is free.

By car, it can be reached from the A26 motorway (Verbania/Gravellona Toce exit), continuing in the direction of Cannobio. By train, the reference station is Verbania-Pallanza, which is then connected by bus. The Lake Maggiore navigation service is also active, with a landing stage in Cannero Riviera.
The evenings take place from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Admission is free.
