The grand finale of the festival amidst the ruins of ancient Egnazia, in Fasano
Locus Festival is Apulia's premier itinerant music festival. Founded in 2005 in Locorotondo and organized by the Bass Culture association, it brings major Italian and international music acts to town squares, traditional masserie, and historical sites across the region every summer. Its 22nd edition runs from June 18 to September 2, 2026, under the title «Play What's Not There», inspired by a famous insight from Miles Davis on the centenary of his birth.
The Fasano stage, in the province of Brindisi, is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, 2026, in the evocative setting of the Egnazia Archaeological Park, marking the conclusion of the festival. Performing amidst the ruins of ancient Egnazia—a Messapian and later Roman city overlooking the Adriatic Sea—offers a live music experience in one of the most fascinating and historically rich locations in all of Apulia, where archaeology and grand entertainment meet at dusk.
The stars of the evening are C.S.I. – Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti, one of the most influential bands in Italian rock history, returning to the stage in their original lineup: Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, Massimo Zamboni, Gianni Maroccolo, Ginevra Di Marco, Francesco Magnelli, and Giorgio Canali. The reunion coincides with the 30th anniversary of «Linea Gotica», the 1996 album that defined an era for Italian independent music. The Egnazia concert is one of the few dates of their highly anticipated return to the stage.
The Egnazia date is part of a 2026 program that spans numerous Apulian locations—from Locorotondo, the festival's historic heart, to Bari, Alberobello, Ostuni, Molfetta, Andria, Minervino Murge, and the Grotte di Castellana—featuring international guests like David Byrne, John Legend, and Johnny Marr alongside many names from the Italian scene. Attending Locus in Egnazia means enjoying a major concert while discovering the archaeological heritage and coastline of the Municipality of Fasano, one of the most beloved destinations in the Upper Salento region.
The Egnazia stage of the 22nd edition of Locus Festival is held on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the Egnazia Archaeological Park in Fasano (BR), as the final event of the entire festival. Returning to the stage are C.S.I. – Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti in their original lineup to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the album «Linea Gotica». A concert that combines the power of one of the iconic bands of Italian rock with the magic of a millenary archaeological site, as part of the edition titled «Play What's Not There», dedicated to the Miles Davis centenary.
The concert celebrates the 30th anniversary of «Linea Gotica» (1996) and represents the final event of the 22nd edition of Locus Festival. One of the few dates of the group's live return.
The Egnazia Archaeological Park is located along the coast of the Municipality of Fasano, near Savelletri, in the province of Brindisi. By car, take the SS16 Adriatica (Fasano/Savelletri exit); the nearest train station is Fasano, on the Bari–Lecce line, with bus or taxi connections to the coast.
The C.S.I. concert on September 2, 2026, is a ticketed event. Presale tickets have been available since January 23, 2026, via authorized networks and the festival's official channels. For info and updates, visit www.locusfestival.it or email [email protected].
Arrive early to soak up the atmosphere of the archaeological site before the concert, and bring a light jacket for the evening, as the Adriatic breeze can be cool. The surrounding area is full of masserie and restaurants where you can enjoy traditional Apulian products.
