Carnival in the heart of Lissone

In Lissone, a town in Brianza in the province of Monza and Brianza, Carnival is a celebration designed primarily for children and families. The Lissone Carnival, organized by the Municipality, takes place in the city center between Palazzo Terragni, Piazza Libertà, and Piazza IV Novembre, on a day that combines creative workshops, entertainment, and a grand parade.

Workshops and Brianza traditions

The original heart of this celebration are the "Create your scarecrow" workshops, curated by the DelleAli Teatro association: a format designed to take children and adults into a fairy-tale world, while at the same time valuing the rural traditions of Brianza. The workshops are held at Palazzo Terragni in the morning and are repeated in the afternoon, alongside face painting, mask making, and a themed photo corner.

The scarecrow parade

The most anticipated moment arrives in the late afternoon: a parade of scarecrows and costumed children starts from Piazza Libertà and winds through the streets of the center, concluding in Piazza IV Novembre, where the children showcase their creations. It is a unique parade, linking Carnival to the peasant imagery of Brianza.
