The journalism and information festival in Trieste
The Link Media Festival brings the debate on major current issues to Trieste through the lens of journalism and information. For three days, the city becomes a grand stage for discussions, meetings, and reflections, featuring the most important names in Italian and international journalism who tackle the challenges of the present: from geopolitics to media, up to the challenges posed by artificial intelligence.
The festival takes place in Trieste's symbolic locations: the majestic Piazza Unità d'Italia, overlooking the sea, the Palazzo della Regione, and the Politeama Rossetti. The meetings, open to the public and often streamed live, attract thousands of spectators and make the city a reference point for those who want to understand the world through the accounts of those who observe it closely.
Each edition brings together dozens of guests from Italy and abroad: journalists, writers, analysts, politicians, and key figures of current events. Among the festival's awards is the UNICEF/Link Prize, dedicated to those who distinguish themselves in reporting on issues of humanitarian and civil importance.
The Link Media Festival is organized by Nord Est Multimedia with the newspaper Il Piccolo, in collaboration with the Order of Journalists of Friuli Venezia Giulia. A project that enhances Trieste as a crossroads of ideas and dialogue, in a city that has always been a bridge between different cultures and worlds.
The 12th edition of the Link Media Festival animates Trieste from April 10 to 12, 2026, with three days dedicated to journalism and the major issues of our time: geopolitics, media, and artificial intelligence. Over seventy Italian and international guests will discuss topics in Piazza Unità d'Italia, the Palazzo della Regione, and the Politeama Rossetti, with events open to the public and live streaming.
The festival is divided into three days (Friday, April 10, Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12) with meetings, discussions, and round tables in the city's main venues. Among the guests announced for the 2026 edition:
