Three theaters from Trieste together in the garden of the Sartorio Museum
Let's Play is a festival born from a brilliant idea: to make three of Trieste's most important theatrical institutions collaborate, joining forces for a shared summer program. The "three theaters" are La Contrada, Teatro Miela (Bonawentura), and Teatro Stabile Sloveno, representing the Italian and Slovenian souls of the city. Together, they animate the garden of the Sartorio Museum, transforming it into an open-air stage under the stars.
The setting is the enchanting garden of the Sartorio Museum, a green oasis overlooking the sea in the heart of Trieste. The performances take place on summer evenings, spread over several weekends, offering the public a varied program that ranges across different genres and languages, the result of the plurality of the three involved companies.
Let's Play is included in the program of Trieste Estate, the major event promoted by the Municipality of Trieste. The co-production between three theaters of different traditions, Italian and Slovenian, makes this festival a symbol of the bilingual cultural coexistence that characterizes Trieste, a city of borders and encounters.
With the formula of a combined ticket, Let's Play invites you to follow the entire festival and discover the variety of Triestine theater in a suggestive setting. An opportunity to experience summer evenings filled with live performance, immersed in the greenery and history of the Sartorio Museum.
The 6th edition of Let's Play – Tre Teatri al Sartorio enlivens the garden of the Sartorio Museum in June 2026, spread over three weekends (June 4-7, 18-21, and 25-28).
