A week of memory and tradition in the historic center of Tesero
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In the historic center of Tesero, a village in the Val di Fiemme (Trentino-Alto Adige), the Le Corte de Tiézer festival has been the most anticipated summer event for over forty years. For an entire week in early August, the ancient courtyards, squares, and alleys of the village transform into an open-air theater where the crafts, customs, and flavors of rural life are brought back to life. It is an experience that unites the entire community, with dozens of volunteers working to help visitors rediscover "ancient emotions, old sounds, and forgotten flavors."
The event began in 1982, inspired by Mario "Panet" Morandini, who conceived a night race through the decorated courtyards of the village. Since 1984, the festival has evolved into a full-scale re-enactment of traditional life, centered around the final walk known as "A stroz par le corte." In 2012, Le Corte de Tiézer was recognized as an "Italian Wonder" by the National Youth Forum, confirming its cultural significance well beyond the valley.
The program runs throughout the week with evening events spread across the squares of the historic center—Piazza Nuova, Piazza della Regola, and Piazzetta Benesin—featuring:
Organized by the Le Corte de Tiézer Committee, the festival is free to attend and thrives on the dedication of volunteers and the village's deep attachment to its roots. For visitors, it is the perfect opportunity to discover Tesero and the Val di Fiemme in an authentic light, far from the usual tourist circuits, while breathing in the atmosphere of an alpine village that proudly preserves its memory.
The 2026 edition of Le Corte de Tiézer in Tesero, Val di Fiemme, does not yet have confirmed official dates. The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the organizing committee in the weeks leading up to the event.
