About Las Estrellas

Every January, the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome lights up the Sala Santa Cecilia with Las Estrellas, a gala gathering the brightest stars of flamenco, Spanish dance, and Escuela Bolera. Two evenings of rhythmic footwork, guitars, gypsy singing, and masterful choreography, featuring top names like Sergio Bernal, Eva Yerbabuena, Jesús Carmona, and José Maya. A bridge between Iberian tradition and contemporary research, curated by Daniele Cipriani with the support of the Embassy of Spain in Italy.

The stars of Spanish dance in Rome

Las Estrellas is the gala that, every early January, transforms the Sala Santa Cecilia at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome into the Italian capital of flamenco and Spanish dance. Established in 2024 and reaching its third consecutive edition in January 2026, the event is part of the Spanish Dance and Flamenco Festival, conceived and produced by Daniele Cipriani Entertainment, with artistic consulting by dancer Sergio Bernal and the support of the Embassy of Spain in Italy.

A bridge between tradition and modernity

The show brings together some of the greatest performers of the Spanish choreographic and musical scene on the same stage, each accompanied by their own musicians: guitars, percussion, gypsy singing, and rhythmic footwork coexist with original choreography and experimentation. Flamenco thus becomes a living language, capable of crossing generations and emotions, without abandoning the roots of Escuela Bolera, the ancient school of stylized Spanish dance.

Stars on stage

  • Sergio Bernal, the Spanish dancer most beloved by the Italian public, also artistic consultant for the gala with his Sergio Bernal Dance Company;
  • Eva Yerbabuena, one of the most intense and recognizable voices in auteur flamenco;
  • Jesús Carmona, a choreographer and bailaor with a powerful and theatrical style;
  • José Maya, heir to a great gypsy dynasty of baile;
  • the cantaora Sandra Carrasco and the musicians accompanying each artist live.

The grand finale: Ravel's Boléro

Among the most anticipated moments of the gala is the choreographic version of Maurice Ravel's famous Boléro, reinterpreted through stylized Spanish dance and performed by the entire company: a crescendo of rhythm and intensity that closes the evening. The program alternates solos, repertoire pieces, and new creations, for a journey ranging from the most traditional flamenco to contemporary research.

An international event in the heart of Rome

Hosted in the prestigious setting of the Auditorium designed by Renzo Piano, in the Flaminio district, Las Estrellas confirms Rome and the Lazio region as a meeting point between Italian and Iberian culture. Thanks to the international scope of the cast and the quality of the production, the gala has established itself in just a few editions as one of the most anticipated dance events of the Roman winter, attracting flamenco enthusiasts from all over Italy.

Las Estrellas — edition 2026

The third edition of Las Estrellas was held on January 3 and 4, 2026, in the Sala Santa Cecilia of the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, featuring a renewed and fiery cast of flamenco and Spanish dance stars. Curated by Daniele Cipriani, with consulting by Sergio Bernal and the support of the Embassy of Spain in Italy.

Las Estrellas 2026 — third edition

For the third consecutive year, the Las Estrellas gala set the Sala Santa Cecilia of the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone in Rome on fire, with two evenings — Saturday, January 3 at 9:00 PM and Sunday, January 4 at 6:00 PM — dedicated to the best of Spanish dance and flamenco. The stage featured a mix of solos, repertoire pieces, and new creations, closing with the choreographic version of Ravel's Boléro performed by the entire company.
