Mountain biking takes center stage on Lake Como
On June 6, 2026, Dervio, in the province of Lecco, once again becomes the headquarters of the Lake Como Bike Marathon, now in its 5th edition. It's a mountain bike granfondo that brings hundreds of bikers to the mountains overlooking the eastern shore of Lake Como, blending competitive sport, scenery, and celebration.
Two routes for every level
The 2026 edition features two renewed routes: the Classic, 35 km with 1,400 meters of elevation gain, designed for those seeking a challenging yet accessible challenge, and the tougher Hero, 70 km with 2,700 meters of elevation gain, reserved for the most trained. The long route passes through twelve municipalities — Dervio, Valvarrone, Sueglio, Dorio, Bellano, Taceno, Margno, Crandola, Casargo, Introbio, Premana, and Pagnona — winding through the main mountains of Alto Lario.
More than just a race
The Lake Como Bike Marathon is also a celebration for families. In the afternoon, at 5:00 PM, the Marathon Kids takes place, dedicated to children and teenagers to introduce them to the world of mountain biking. The day concludes with a big party open to participants, companions, and the public, featuring a live evening concert.
An event on the Lombardy calendar
The event, organized in Dervio, is part of the Coppa Lombardia circuit and counts as the Lecco Provincial FCI Championship for the Marathon specialty. This recognition confirms its sporting significance, combined with the charm of a territory — Alto Lario and Valsassina — made up of lakes, mountains, and villages.
